About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy of the iconic Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. The role will drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets while maintaining the hotel’s high‑end brand standards.
Key responsibilities
- Identify prospective accounts, analyse historical data and develop action plans for key accounts.
- Represent the hotel at domestic and international fairs in line with the business plan.
- Prioritise domestic market sales and coordinate international market activities with the General Manager.
- Manage room availability for high‑booking periods in collaboration with operations.
- Maintain an optimal market mix to protect product quality and reduce dependence on single markets.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with Rooms Division, Reservations and Food & Beverage teams.
- Execute 5‑7 personal sales/courtesy visits and 10 telephone sales calls per day while ensuring prompt correspondence.
- Prepare weekly call reports and a comprehensive monthly sales report, including forecasts and competitor analysis.
- Support the business plan and budget by achieving key performance figures for target markets.
- Co‑manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances in line with credit policy.
- Negotiate and sign contracts with local inbound operators.
Required profile
- Proven experience in hotel sales or a comparable hospitality environment.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and develop actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with key accounts and partners.
- Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and lead regular coordination meetings.
- Organised, results‑driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
