Director of Security

About the role

A leading organization in Qatar is seeking an experienced Director of Security to lead and strengthen its enterprise-wide security function. The role develops and implements integrated security frameworks, safeguards critical assets, ensures business resilience and maintains a secure environment across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the organization's security strategy, policies and governance framework.
• Oversee physical security operations, risk assessments, investigations and incident response.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and security requirements.
• Develop crisis management, business continuity and emergency response plans.
• Manage relationships with government authorities, law enforcement agencies and key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop security teams.
• Identify emerging threats and implement proactive risk mitigation.
• Promote a culture of security awareness and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are advantageous.
• Extensive leadership experience in corporate, government, aviation, industrial, logistics, infrastructure or large-scale security operations.
• Proven experience developing and managing enterprise security programs.
• Strong stakeholder management, crisis management and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to influence at executive level.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international security standards and risk management practices.
• Knowledge of security technologies.
