Doorman – Front Office

About the role

We are looking for a professional Doorman to join the Front Office team at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. The role is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for welcoming, luggage handling and vehicle parking while upholding the brand’s hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving and departing guests with a warm, friendly welcome, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage guest luggage, apply baggage claim tags, and oversee the luggage storage area in line with safety and security protocols.
• Direct and supervise the parking of guest and visitor vehicles, especially during large events, ensuring efficient flow.
• Monitor hotel occupancy, functions, groups and VIP arrivals to anticipate service needs.
• Resolve guest complaints or requests promptly by coordinating with relevant departments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all hotel facilities and services to provide accurate information to guests.
• Contribute to achieving a Quality Audit score of 95% or higher through documented training and adherence to standards.
• Support the team in delivering the highest guest satisfaction scores measured by the TRUST YOU platform.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2–5 years of experience in hospitality, concierge, reception or customer‑service roles.
• Professional appearance: well‑groomed, punctual, dependable and appropriately dressed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on honesty, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and respect team members.
• Familiarity with hotel operations and the ability to quickly learn product knowledge of facilities.
