About the role
Mandarin Oriental Doha is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join its Front Office team. You will act as the on‑site leader, ensuring smooth operations, guest satisfaction, and effective coordination across all front‑of‑house departments.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a visible management presence in public and back‑of‑house areas.
- Handle guest complaints, record details, investigate, and provide responses within 24 hours.
- Attend operational meetings such as Morning, Emergency Response Team, and Front Office briefings.
- Take accurate handovers between shifts and ensure follow‑up actions are recorded.
- Prioritise tasks during the shift, complete scheduled duties, and make timely decisions.
- Support the Front Office Manager in overall department management.
- Communicate regularly with the Front Office Manager and Director of Rooms.
- Supervise front‑of‑house activities alongside the Chief Concierge, Bell Captain, and Guest Relations Manager, adhering to internal standards.
- Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience in a 5‑star hotel environment.
- At least 2 years experience as a Duty Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
- Operational experience in other hotel divisions or comparable industries is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
