Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, supporting the team, and contributing to departmental improvement initiatives. The role also involves reporting faults to engineers and ensuring high‑quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Carry out corrective maintenance tasks promptly and complete them on time.
• Assist subcontractors with their assigned work.
• Report defects, breakdowns, damages, and spare‑part needs to the Fault Reporting Center or designated engineers.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and ensure proper use.
• Follow duty rosters, health‑safety, quality, and client HSEQ procedures.
• Escalate any lack of equipment or safety concerns to the line manager.

Required profile

• ITI Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, and BS.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with MSDS documentation.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Awareness of BS (British Standards) requirements.
