Environmental Engineer I

About the role

The Environmental Engineer I supports environmental management and compliance across North Oil Company’s operations. Based in Doha, the role involves regular offshore visits, audits, and coordination with regulators, contractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit greenhouse gas and methane emissions reports, including OGMP 2.0 compliance.
• Manage environmental permitting, regulatory compliance and ISO 14001 EMS implementation.
• Coordinate environmental audits, KPI monitoring and performance dashboards.
• Oversee waste, hazardous material, chemical and radiation‑protection data management.
• Support oil‑spill preparedness, response drills and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum eight years of environmental management experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and regulator engagement.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, IMDG, IMO Level 2 oil‑spill response and Radiation Protection Officer.
