Senior HSE Engineer

About the role

The Senior HSE Engineer will lead HSE expertise for Qatar Energy projects, ensuring compliance with company, international and regulatory standards, particularly for offshore oil & gas environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project HSE plans, philosophies, specifications and risk registers.
• Lead HSE audits, incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and lessons‑learned documentation.
• Motivate and organise HSE and contractor HSE teams to achieve high performance.
• Ensure alignment with QatarEnergy standards, international safety codes and offshore regulatory regimes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience in EPC oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in a senior HSE role on offshore projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) and membership in a recognized HSE professional body.
• Proven leadership of large contractor teams and experience as HSE lead within a Project Management Team.
