Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of residential units and common areas. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the role coordinates maintenance activities, service requests, and move‑in preparations while adhering to ISO quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule daily/weekly maintenance tasks for portfolio units.
• Coordinate with Property Management on apartment make‑ready schedules and move‑in/out reports.
• Assign and monitor service requests, prioritising emergencies and limiting callbacks.
• Repair and replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems within the landlord’s material threshold.
• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy, ensuring all waste is cleared and necessary repairs are completed.
• Assess training needs, organise safety and skills training, and provide one‑on‑one coaching to maintenance staff.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating maintenance personnel.
• Maintain documentation of all work performed in line with ISO procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in a property or facilities setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and appliance repair.
• Familiarity with ISO quality and safety procedures.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and allocate work efficiently.
• Experience in staff training, performance evaluation, and recruitment.
