Finance Manager – Holding Company

About the role

The Finance Manager – Holding Company will oversee the full accounting function across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS standards. This senior role partners with auditors, tax advisors and senior leadership to support strategic decisions and drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for all group entities, including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets and treasury coordination.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles; review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and enforce group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Own the year‑end audit process: prepare statutory financials, coordinate with auditors and resolve audit findings.
• Oversee fixed‑asset registers, lease accounting schedules (IFRS 16) and provision calculations (IAS 36, IAS 37).
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations and reconciliations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Collaborate with tax advisors on VAT, withholding and corporate tax matters.
• Support the Finance Director on technical accounting and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• 2‑3 years in a managerial role supervising an accounting team.
• Hands‑on experience in a holding‑company or multi‑entity environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; CA/ACCA preferred.
• Proven track record of managing full‑cycle accounting and year‑end audit processes.
• GCC/Qatar experience is an advantage.

• Strong working knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Group consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• IFRS 16, IAS 36, IAS 37, IFRS 15.
• VAT, withholding tax and corporate tax compliance.
• Internal controls and financial governance frameworks.
• ERP configuration in a multi‑entity environment (SAP or Oracle).
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
