Finance Manager - Hotel

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which brings together more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a Finance Manager in Doha. The role covers financial planning, reporting, cash and accounts management, cost control, internal controls and leading the finance and accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and business plans; monitor departmental budgets and expenses and analyse variances between actual and budgeted results.
• Monitor room, food and beverage and other revenue, and occupancy, ADR and RevPAR, working with sales and revenue management to maximise profitability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow) and present them to hotel management and owners.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and bank accounts; supervise accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely collection of guest, corporate and travel agent payments.
• Review payroll and ensure accurate processing of salaries, benefits and statutory payments.
• Control operating costs, review purchasing and inventory, and oversee inventory controls and fixed asset and depreciation records.
• Set up financial policies and procedures, safeguard assets and prevent fraud, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting department, train and coach staff, and provide financial analysis for projects, investments and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5-8 years of finance or accounting experience.
• At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Previous experience in the hospitality or hotel industry is highly preferred.
• Strong team leadership, staff development, decision-making, organisational and communication skills, with high integrity and attention to detail.
