Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer manages day-to-day financial operations, keeps accounting records accurate, processes payments and supports financial reporting and compliance. The position is based in Doha, Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Receive supplier invoices, review them and distribute them to the relevant division or department for payment approval.
• Manage accounts payable, match invoices with purchase orders and contract payment schedules, and follow up on unapproved amounts with suppliers.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, resolve payment discrepancies and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Prepare account analyses on request and provide historical data to MIS for budget purposes.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare an Arabic letter for Charter Flight and back up the cashier duties and credit cards (24x7).
• Keep the fuel log in Trax updated in line with actual uplifts and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA or CPA are an advantage.
• Proficiency in English; good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and reporting procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Financials.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet strict deadlines and work accurately.
