Firefighting & Fire Alarm Engineer (Doha, Qatar)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Firefighting / Fire Alarm Engineer to lead the operation, maintenance and compliance of Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems across residential and commercial assets in Doha. The role ensures that all fire detection, alarm and suppression equipment meets Qatar Civil Defence requirements and international fire safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operation, testing, preventive maintenance and compliance of fire alarms, sprinklers, fire pumps and suppression systems.
• Coordinate inspections, approvals and certification renewals with Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD).
• Supervise contractors, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and validate maintenance activities via CAFM/CMMS platforms.
• Plan and execute fire drills, emergency preparedness activities and safety awareness programmes.
• Support procurement by preparing technical specifications, tender documents and conducting technical evaluations.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory and accurate asset records for all fire protection systems.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in fire protection or building services engineering, preferably within facilities management or real‑estate environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of QCDD regulations and NFPA standards.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience managing regulatory inspections, certifications and emergency preparedness programmes.

• Firefighting, sprinkler, fire pump and suppression systems.
• Smoke detectors and related detection equipment.
• NFPA standards and Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) regulations.
• CMMS/CAFM platforms for maintenance planning and tracking.
• Preventive maintenance planning, testing, inspection and troubleshooting of fire systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
