Fleet Operations Officer

About the role

The Fleet Operations Officer will act as the central liaison between QatarEnergy's LNG Shipping Department and chartered LNG vessels. This role ensures voyages are planned, executed, and monitored safely and efficiently while handling commercial issues across stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate communications and instructions between the LNG Shipping Department and chartered ships.
• Monitor voyage progress to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
• Facilitate problem resolution related to fleet commercial activities with owners, operators, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee marine loading and discharging processes for LNG/LPG cargoes.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet performance and operational incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in shipping, oil, or gas operations, or senior deck/engineering officer experience.
• Proven knowledge of marine loading and discharging in LNG or LPG environments.
• Class 1 Marine Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) or a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Studies, or a related field.
