Flowing Gas Analyst

About the role

The Flowing Gas Analyst analyses and administers the Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) covering QatarEnergy LNG's sales gas and ethane, inter-venture agreements, LPG processing and marketing agreements, back-up, backflow, emergency back-up and flare reduction agreements, with both external parties and between the LNG ventures. The role also prepares and analyses sales gas and ethane market demand, production and cash flow forecasts, monitors product deliveries and supports financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full contractual compliance of all Flowing Gas commercial agreements, including gas SPAs for AKG, Barzan and QatarEnergy LNG ventures, and resolve queries and potential breaches by sellers or buyers.
• Provide input on agreements and amendments so they meet QatarEnergy LNG standards, and help implement proposed changes.
• Participate in maintaining SPA procedures and compile data for reports and presentations.
• Analyse and monitor production forecasts and deliveries, and report on them as required.
• Identify complex commercial and operational issues, find their causes and impacts, and suggest recommendations.
• Update the annual activities tracking calendar for each agreement, including optionality decision milestones.
• Maintain calculation models, reports, invoices and documentation, and prepare contractual notices such as price notifications, maintenance notices and volume reconciliations.
• Prepare and verify invoices, cash flow forecasts and monthly/quarterly/annual statements.
• Coordinate with Finance, Operations, external buyers and shareholders, and run the Energy Component – Hydrocarbon Accounting System and the controlled calculation models for each SPA.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, economics or business administration.
• 6 years of general business or industry experience, including 4 years of hydrocarbon sales contracts administration.
• Knowledge of the domestic and export sales gas sector in the oil and gas industry.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of the EC Transport, Sales and Revenue module.
