Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service. The position oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards and meets or exceeds financial goals, and develops and implements the food and beverage business plan. It is a full-time management position at The St. Regis Residence in Marsa Arabia Island, Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, manage financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans, and keep a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Manage the Food & Beverage department (not catering sales), supervise staff and oversee day-to-day operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and training, set clear expectations and monitor employee productivity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, respond quickly to guest concerns, verify banquet functions meet standards and take ownership of complaints until resolved.
• Manage human resources activities, including performance reviews, fair treatment policies and development plans.
• Comply with food and beverage laws and regulations, follow corporate accounting procedures and drive departmental communication through logs, meetings and reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related area, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree.
