Guest Service Agent

About the role

We are looking for a warm, proactive Guest Service Agent to join the Front Office team at Mövenpick Hotel Doha. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a professional greeting and manage check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Handle room assignments, key issuance, and update guest preferences in the PMS.
• Respond to guest inquiries, special requests, and provide information on hotel facilities, dining, transport and local attractions.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Concierge, Reservations and other departments to ensure room readiness and prompt service delivery.
• Upsell room categories and promote hotel services to maximize revenue.
• Manage incoming calls, messages and guest requests courteously.
• Process guest payments, room charges, deposits and refunds accurately.
• Maintain lobby and front‑desk area cleanliness and organization.
• Follow security, safety, confidentiality protocols and brand service standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Guest Service Agent, Front Desk Agent or similar hotel customer‑service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑first attitude.
• Professional appearance, grooming and positive attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality‑related qualifications are a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel PMS (e.g., Opera or Fidelio).
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
