Head of Financial Planning & Reporting

About the role

The Head of Financial Planning & Reporting will lead the preparation, consolidation and analysis of group financial performance, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and corporate service agreements. Reporting to the CFO, this senior position oversees budgeting, forecasting, risk management and the delivery of statutory financial statements for both wholly owned and joint‑venture entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver quarterly, half‑yearly and annual financial statements for all entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the consolidation of group performance reports, variance analyses and Management Information System (MIS) packages for senior management, JV partners and the Board.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of Board materials and financial slides for JV Board meetings.
• Manage external auditors for statutory audits, half‑yearly reviews and interim audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit queries.
• Analyse financial impacts of strategic initiatives such as M&A, divestments, financing and leasing arrangements.
• Supervise the monthly OPEX cost report for the internal vessel technical managing company, providing commentary on variances.
• Drive the development and maintenance of reporting tools, including Power BI dashboards, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, short‑ and long‑term forecasts, and present results to senior leadership.
• Serve as Risk Champion, identifying, assessing and mitigating financial risks across projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial reporting, consolidation and statutory compliance under IFRS and US GAAP.
• Proven track record of leading budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for large, multi‑entity organisations.
• Strong understanding of corporate service agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing external audit processes and interacting with board committees.
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.
• Leadership experience with a focus on developing finance teams and fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
