Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory

About the role

The Head of Fixed Assets and Inventory will lead the finance team responsible for managing the organization’s capital assets and inventory. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this senior position ensures accurate accounting, compliance with standards, and effective asset control across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate strategy, annual plans and policies for the Fixed Assets and Inventory department.
• Maintain up‑to‑date fixed‑asset registers, oversee tagging, verification, transfers, revaluation and retirement.
• Prepare monthly capital‑asset continuity schedules and review depreciation reports.
• Supervise month‑end and period‑end close processes for assets and inventory.
• Reconcile inventory financial entries with supply‑chain systems and participate in physical counts.
• Coordinate insurance policies for assets and inventory.
• Manage staffing, performance monitoring and duty allocation within the section.
• Facilitate internal and external audit requirements.

Required profile

• CA/CPA/CFA/MBA in Finance.
• 15+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years supervising Fixed Assets and Inventory.
• 5+ years of finance experience in the hospital/healthcare sector and GCC region.
• Proven experience handling high‑volume assets and inventory in an ERP environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
