Health Club Receptionist

About the role

The Health Club Receptionist welcomes members and guests to the club, provides information about facilities and services, and ensures a friendly and professional front‑desk experience. This position combines customer service, administrative duties, and safety responsibilities in a vibrant resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members and guests upon arrival.
• Provide information on club facilities, programs, and services.
• Handle inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and courteously.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and other communications.
• Schedule appointments and manage bookings for classes, personal training, and other services.
• Process membership applications, renewals, and cancellations.
• Maintain and update member records in the club’s database.
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable.
• Monitor inventory of office supplies, brochures, and promotional materials.
• Control access to the club, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Enforce club policies to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles, preferably in a health club or fitness centre.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of health and fitness is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with member management software.
