About the role
The Host/Hostess greets guests, manages seating, and ensures a welcoming dining experience in a high‑end hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items.
- Guide guests through the dining area, assist with special‑needs seating, and maintain table arrangements.
- Monitor dining rooms for availability, safety, and guest well‑being.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
- Check menus for current, clean, and wrinkle‑free condition.
- Follow company safety, security, uniform and appearance standards.
- Answer telephones with professional etiquette and develop positive working relationships.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
- Commitment to company policies, confidentiality and quality standards.
