House Driver – Private Household Transportation

About the role

The House Driver provides safe, reliable, and professional transportation for the household principals, family members, guests, and staff. The role also includes routine vehicle upkeep and support for household errands while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Transport family members, guests, and staff to appointments, schools, airports, meetings, shopping, and social events.
• Plan efficient routes, considering traffic and schedules, and ensure punctual arrivals.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean, fueled, and well‑presented; perform daily inspections of oil, tire pressure, brakes, lights, battery, and coolant.
• Arrange routine servicing, repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Handle household errands such as grocery shopping, document collection, banking, parcel delivery, and supply purchases.
• Assist with luggage handling, event logistics, and coordinate airport pickups and drop‑offs.
• Comply with all local traffic laws, maintain a valid driver’s licence, and keep insurance, registration, and permits up to date.

• Professional, courteous, and discreet demeanor at all times.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate schedules with the House Manager.
• Commitment to confidentiality regarding family and household matters.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence with clean driving record.
• Defensive driving techniques.
