HSE Manager – Oil & Gas

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead the health, safety and environmental programme across our oil & gas operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety culture throughout construction, commissioning and ongoing production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies and strategies for projects and operations.
• Ensure compliance with oil & gas safety standards and all relevant regulations.
• Lead process‑safety activities such as HAZOP, HAZID and risk assessments.
• Oversee site safety during construction, commissioning and operational phases.
• Monitor and manage contractor HSE performance.
• Investigate incidents, drive corrective actions and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain environmental compliance for waste, emissions and spill control.
• Perform audits and inspections to uphold HSE standards.
• Lead emergency response planning, drills and safety training programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE or a related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or ISO certifications preferred.
• 12+ years of HSE experience in oil & gas, including EPC projects and operational facilities.
• Strong exposure to construction sites and live‑plant environments.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of oil & gas safety standards (ISO, API, OSHA).
• Process safety management and risk assessment expertise (HAZOP, HAZID).
• Incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Audit and inspection techniques.
