HSE Officer

About the role

The HSE Officer will ensure compliance with QCS 2014, local HSE regulations and project‑specific safety requirements, while fostering a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible work environment on our bridge and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily HSE inspections, site audits and enforce HSE policies, procedures and safe working practices.
• Review, verify and monitor Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) requirements, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE awareness training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, hazardous occurrences and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports, maintain accurate records and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, monitor environmental compliance and implement protection measures.
• Liaise with client, consultants and subcontractors on all HSE‑related matters and exercise Stop Work Authority when needed.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of QCS 2014, applicable HSE regulations and safety management systems.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years HSE experience in the GCC region.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Strong communication, report‑writing and analytical skills.
