HVAC/ICWS Technician – Secret Clearance

About the role

Global Dimensions seeks an experienced HVAC/ICWS Technician to support mission‑critical facilities at Al‑Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The position requires a DoD Secret clearance and the ability to work in harsh, high‑temperature environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including chillers, AHUs, RTUs, split systems, and associated control systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control faults; perform corrective and preventive maintenance per technical manuals.
• Monitor and maintain industrial water systems (potable, wastewater, pumps, valves, sensors) and SCADA/BMS interfaces.
• Conduct inspections, testing, minor repairs, and support water‑system sampling and compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate logs, work orders, and safety documentation; respond to emergency calls and provide after‑hours support.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience with commercial/industrial HVAC/R and ICWS.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme dust and temperature conditions.

Required skills

• HVAC system maintenance (chillers, AHUs, RTUs, split systems).
• Industrial Chilled Water Systems (ICWS) operation.
• Industrial control systems and SCADA/BMS monitoring.
• Valve, pump, sensor inspection and repair.
• Interpretation of technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
