IT Project Manager – Consultant (Banking Domain)

About the role

The IT Project Manager – Consultant will lead and coordinate a portfolio of IT projects within the banking sector, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires strong governance, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive projects from initiation to closure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned IT projects using established methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Build and maintain relationships with business units, IT teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with service commitments.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation such as charters, plans, status reports, and risk registers.
• Provide regular updates to management and facilitate project meetings and workshops.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• PMP certification is mandatory; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing large‑scale IT projects, preferably in banking or highly regulated industries.
• Proven experience in vendor, stakeholder, and project governance management.
