Landscaping Technician

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, a 5-star resort on the Arabian Gulf, is looking for a Landscaping Technician to look after its grounds. The role covers keeping the property's grounds pleasant, maintaining plants, lawns and irrigation, and operating equipment safely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor property grounds and keep fountains, planters and other features clean, repaired or replaced
• Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees and shrubs, and replace and transplant existing ones
• Maintain flower beds, baskets and boxes by watering, weeding, trimming and other upkeep
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs, trim and edge grass, and maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves and similar work
• Install, maintain and operate irrigation systems
• Remove and bag trash from exterior bins, and operate dump trucks, tractors, trucks or utility vehicles to move equipment, supplies and debris
• Wash, clean and refuel equipment after use
• Follow company and safety policies, report defects and accidents, complete safety training, and keep a clean, professional appearance
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work on uneven ground and perform other reasonable duties asked by supervisors

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred
• No supervisory experience required
• Valid driver's license required
