Lead Piping Engineer – Qatar

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to join its project team in Qatar. The role involves delivering engineering excellence by defining and approving technical scopes, executing assigned work, and providing specialist expertise to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex piping engineering assignments, developing new or improved products, processes, and techniques.
• Assess feasibility and soundness of engineering designs, products, and equipment.
• Produce detailed engineering deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Act as Technical Authority or Lead Engineer on projects, providing technical direction and reviews.
• Manage client relationships, project teams, and oversee cost, schedule, resources, and risk where required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in onshore and offshore oil & gas piping engineering.
• Proven ability to lead highly qualified professionals on complex projects.
• Strong technical judgment and capability to act as a specialist authority.
