Lead Verification of Competence (VOC) Supervisor

About the role

The Lead Verification of Competence (VOC) Supervisor will oversee the coordination, scheduling, quality assurance and execution of the QE LNG VOC program for lifting operations personnel. Reporting to project management, the role ensures all competence assessments, coaching, simulator activities and reporting are delivered to QE LNG standards and EnerMech procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all VOC assessment activities across project locations, managing daily deployment of Coaches and Assessors.
• Schedule candidates, plan assessments and interface directly with QE LNG focal points and project teams to align with implementation timelines.
• Ensure assessments use approved criteria, verify consistency, review documentation, maintain auditable records and monitor compliance with lifting procedures.
• Oversee coaching and remediation for “Not Yet Competent” personnel, track competency gap closure and coordinate reassessments.
• Support the development of competence dashboards, risk heat maps and manage simulator scheduling and integration.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings and provide technical leadership to the assessment team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating competence verification programmes within the energy or lifting sector.
• Strong knowledge of QE LNG standards, lifting safety requirements and assessment governance.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of Coaches and Assessors and to communicate with client stakeholders.
• Experience in quality assurance, documentation review and audit‑ready record keeping.
• Familiarity with simulator‑based training and competency reporting tools.
