Lead/Senior SharePoint Developer (3-6 Month Contract)

About the role

A 3- to 6-month contract in Qatar for a Lead/Senior SharePoint Developer (also described as SharePoint and K2 Platform Administrator) with 6+ years of experience. The role drives the technical architecture, backend integration, migration and deployment of a custom "Connect 22" intranet portal, using SharePoint Online as a headless CMS behind custom React layouts.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate the legacy SharePoint 2019 environment to SharePoint Online, mapping news archives, corporate stories, documents, lists, web applications, site collections and permissions.
• Audit the existing SharePoint 2019 environment and define the modern site structure, site collections and metadata taxonomy.
• Establish secure, read-only integrations with ERP and K2 systems via REST APIs, JSON endpoints or secure database views, fetched by SPFx components.
• Rebuild legacy SharePoint 2019 workflows into secure Power Automate cloud flows.
• Wrap modular React components into SPFx Web Parts (v1.19+) deployed to the SharePoint Online App Catalog.
• Design list schemas, custom columns and document libraries, and write data-fetching code with PnP JS and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Build in-webpart CRUD panels using Fluent UI Panels so business users can add, edit and delete content without touching the backend lists.
• Transform flat SharePoint list data into interactive components such as organizational charts.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands-on SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex migrations from on-premises SharePoint to SharePoint Online.
• Expert experience rebuilding legacy SharePoint workflows in Power Automate.
• Experience consuming data from external REST APIs, JSON services or SQL databases in SPFx web parts.
• Understanding of API security, including token authentication (Bearer/OAuth 2.0) and API key management.
• Experience debugging custom code inside the SharePoint Mobile App WebView.
