Learning & Development Manager

About the role

As a Learning & Development Manager in our hotel, you will lead training initiatives that empower team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences, especially during the hotel’s renovation and relaunch phases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver hotel training programs aligned with corporate goals, covering topics such as harassment‑free workplace, diversity, new‑member orientation, leadership and service excellence.
• Develop and coordinate learning initiatives that support staff throughout each phase of the hotel renovation, keeping them informed, engaged and prepared for operational changes.
• Partner with hotel leadership and department heads to identify new skills, service behaviours and training requirements resulting from renovated facilities, new concepts and updated guest touchpoints.
• Create and execute pre‑opening training plans, including service simulations, departmental training, product knowledge and guest‑journey workshops to ensure teams are ready from day one.
• Embed new service standards and operational practices after renovation through continuous coaching, refresher sessions, observations and follow‑up.
• Act as a learning and culture partner during transformation, helping leaders communicate change and supporting staff in adapting positively.
• Conduct regular meetings with department managers, trainers and team members to review performance trends, develop action plans and recognise achievements.
• Assess existing training initiatives, identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions tailored to departmental needs.
• Track, maintain and audit individual training records using designated systems and tools.

Required profile

• Experience working closely with leadership teams and department heads to drive learning initiatives.
• Proven ability to design, deliver and evaluate training programs in a hospitality environment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills to support change management and team engagement.
• Capability to manage training projects during renovation or transformation periods.
