Lifting Supervisor - Oil and Gas

About the role

The project seeks an experienced Lifting Supervisor to lead all lifting and rigging activities on a major oil and gas construction site in Qatar. You will ensure safe execution of lifts, compliance with approved plans, and adherence to HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on‑site lifting and rigging operations.
• Verify crane certifications, lifting equipment condition, and operator competency.
• Conduct toolbox talks, pre‑lift meetings, and enforce safety procedures.
• Inspect lifting gear, ensure proper usage and maintenance.
• Stop unsafe activities and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of lifts, inspections, and certifications.
• Collaborate with crane operators, riggers, and site teams to plan lifts.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor certification (e.g., LEEA or third‑party approved).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Must be residing in Qatar with a valid QID and be available for immediate joining.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering knowledge applied to lifting operations.

• Proficiency with load charts and lifting plan development.
• Risk assessment and HSE regulation compliance.
