Load Master Officer

About the role

The Load Master Officer will travel to various freighter destinations to safely execute operational activities, ensuring efficient turnaround of cargo flights. This role supports Qatar Airways Cargo’s VISION 2027 roadmap by delivering accurate load planning and maintaining aircraft performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safe turnaround functions, including PDU/CLS operations, unloading, loading and securing cargo.
• Produce load sheets and loading instruction reports in accordance with required standards.
• Ensure optimal aircraft performance using the Weight and Balance Freighter Manual (WBM), especially during weight & balance system outages.
• Assist outstations when local staff are unavailable and travel to release flights as needed.
• Monitor and renew Weight and Balance Freighter (WBF) licenses, ensuring all certifications remain valid.
• Provide feedback on ramp operations and coordinate with Ground Handling Agents to maintain on‑time performance.
• Support cargo build‑up for remote, charter, or offline stations and act as the operational liaison between FCLC and IOC.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel frequently to freighter destinations, both online and offline.
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to operational needs across multiple stations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Weight and Balance Freighter Manual (WBM) and related procedures.
• Experience with PDU/CLS operations and cargo loading processes.
• Ability to prepare accurate load sheets and loading instruction reports.
• Familiarity with license renewal and validation for Weight and Balance Freighter (WBF) certifications.
