Logistics Manager – Qatar

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Logistics Manager for its Qatar warehouse to lead all logistics functions, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective movement of goods from receipt to delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies and procedures aligned with organisational goals.
• Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimising excess stock and carrying costs.
• Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage and distribution, ensuring safe handling of products.
• Coordinate transportation activities – route planning, carrier selection and freight negotiation – to optimise delivery schedules and control costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and resolve any delays.
• Implement quality‑control measures to meet product standards and customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and customs regulations.
• Monitor logistics costs, achieve budget targets and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and training.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement enhancements.
• Prepare regular performance reports covering on‑time delivery, inventory accuracy and cost per unit.
• Work closely with sales, procurement and customer service to ensure seamless logistics coordination.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably in a large retail environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising a logistics team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery schedules.
• Good understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
