Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

CAE is looking for a Logistics & Purchasing Coordinator in Doha to provide logistics, stores and inventory support for simulator and synthetic training equipment. The role controls and tracks simulator spares, repairable assets, consumables and associated equipment through their lifecycle, working with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and external suppliers to keep inventory accurate, assets accountable and stock cost-effective.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory, asset and material records in TCMS, monitor stock levels and investigate discrepancies
• Keep auditable records of simulator assets and configuration changes, and track repairable assets through the repair cycle
• Liaise with Engineering, Procurement and suppliers on repairs, and support supplier evaluation
• Provide inventory and usage information to support procurement and material planning
• Process goods receipt, storage, issue, return and despatch, prepare shipments and coordinate transport
• Support import/export compliance with regulatory, security and company requirements
• Support Maintenance and Engineering teams so materials arrive on time and equipment downtime is minimised
• Support audits, reporting and continuous improvement of inventory accuracy, repair turnaround and supplier performance

Required profile

• Experience in stores, logistics, inventory, supply chain or material-support operations
• Good understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation and traceability
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
• Commercial awareness of the link between inventory, equipment availability and cost
• Willingness to travel locally occasionally and to handle high-value, operationally critical equipment
