Inventory Controller - Retail (Watsons, Qatar)

About the role

The Inventory Controller supports 20 stores across the UAE, KSA and Qatar, covering the Watsons retail portfolio. The role follows operating procedures, tracks stock movements, minimizes stock loss risks and ensures goods are available when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Track and control product inputs and outputs from warehouses and stores, escalating stock discrepancies to suppliers with an SRD report
• Maintain and update logs for incoming and outgoing shipments in log books and systems
• Perform weekly stock accuracy checks, investigate shortages, segregate damaged stock and coordinate system updates with the brand team
• Prepare stores for marketing events, including arranging stock count procedures for easy scanning and counting
• Record and manage missing barcodes, coordinate with the brand team and report issues monthly
• Stay present during store maintenance work, often at night after store closure
• Take part in annual business planning, manage monthly budgets, create purchase orders, track invoices and ensure timely invoicing by service providers
• Manage non-merchandise assets in stock rooms for business activities

Required profile

• Diploma or high school level education
• 1-2 years of experience in retail stock handling roles in the local market
• Good PC skills
• Qualification from a recognized supply chain management or logistics institute
