Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

A full-time, non-management Loss Prevention Officer is needed at a Westin hotel in Doha (Salwa Road, Fereej Bin Mahmoud, Zone 23). The role covers security and loss prevention duties on site, including key control, patrols, CCTV monitoring and incident reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct key control audits, monitor electronic key boxes and issue or receive master keys, radios and beepers, keeping them safe.
• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor closed-circuit television and alarm systems.
• Respond to accidents, call EMS or give first aid/CPR as required, and assist guests and employees during emergencies.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and report accidents, attacks or incidents to the right people.
• Complete incident reports, daily activity reports and shift summaries, and type, proofread and copy security reports.
• Resolve safety hazards, provide paperwork to employees needing outside medical treatment, and follow company policies and procedures.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and thank them sincerely.
• Assist management in training and motivation, act as a role model, and ensure quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to read small print, use computers and point-of-sale systems, and move quickly, stand or walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Some states may require additional licensing or registration.
