Maintenance Technician – Guest Services

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and ensuring the smooth operation of all hotel facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and keep the property safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, lighting, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, perform general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Update air‑handler schedules and make temperature adjustments using computer systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
