Maintenance Technician – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our hospitality team in Doha. You will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment through timely preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests across rooms and public areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, kitchen, and mechanical equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls for building systems.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities to the next shift.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, TV units, and other guestroom items.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler system maintenance.
• Update HVAC schedules and temperature settings using computer systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb independently.
• Strong adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
• Professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Clear, courteous communication with guests and team members.
