About the role
The Manager, Clinical and Faculty Affairs oversees daily operations of the Clinical and Faculty Affairs function at WCM‑Qatar, ensuring smooth appointment, promotion, renewal and termination processes for faculty members and managing medical licensing and hospital privileges.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of the Clinical and Faculty Affairs team, maintaining continuity of division tasks.
- Manage appointments, reappointments, promotions and terminations for WCM‑Q and affiliated faculty within set timelines.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, faculty salary benchmarking and event organization.
- Collaborate with WCM‑NY to stay current on appointment and promotion criteria and disseminate updates.
- Supervise preparation, review and quality assurance of academic contracts, letters of agreement and appointment letters.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, workflow improvements and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, academic and licensing standards throughout appointment and promotion cycles.
- Monitor faculty Qatar medical licensure and clinical privileging processes, adapting to regulatory changes.
- Facilitate Qatar Internal Review Committee cases, preparing documentation and follow‑up actions.
- Prepare faculty appointment and promotion recommendation letters for department chairs.
- Collaborate with affiliated hospitals, WCM‑Q office, academic departments and the Office of Faculty Affairs on initiatives and projects.
- Support delivery of promotion seminars, workshops and CPD accreditation applications.
Required profile
- Experience managing academic or clinical faculty processes, including appointments, promotions and licensing.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and international medical education systems.
- Excellent organizational, documentation and compliance skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple institutions and locations.
