Manager Entertainment – Content Partnerships (IFE)

About the role

As Manager Entertainment (Content Partnerships) within the In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE) division, you will shape and develop the content supply pipeline for Qatar Airways’ inflight entertainment product. Reporting to the Head of Entertainment, you will source, negotiate and manage new content partnerships to enrich the onboard passenger experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, OTT studios, distributors and licensing agencies to secure high‑quality, diverse entertainment options.
• Lead commercial negotiations on licensing and distribution models and ensure compliance with copyright laws and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems seamlessly into the IFE platform.
• Monitor real‑time performance of entertainment content, track viewer engagement metrics and adjust content rotation and promotions accordingly.
• Manage the content‑related budget, identify cost‑saving opportunities and allocate resources to maximise ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in entertainment, content partnership, curation or programming.
• Deep understanding of streaming and OTT trends, especially as they relate to inflight entertainment.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Content acquisition, partnership, licensing and distribution (streaming, broadcast or IFE).
• Knowledge of media integration systems and IFE hardware.
• Familiarity with digital content delivery systems and inflight entertainment platforms.
• Financial understanding of content licensing pricing structures and operational costs.
