Manager – Investment Banking & Support Functions Audit

About the role

The incumbent will join QNB’s Group Internal Audit function as a Manager responsible for auditing the Investment Banking and Support Functions across the Domestic divisions. The role provides independent assurance and advisory services on the effectiveness of controls, focusing on investment banking, treasury, risk and support functions, and supports the implementation of advanced data‑analytics and continuous‑auditing techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the risk‑based annual audit plan for Domestic Investment Banking and Support Functions, aligning with the Group Internal Audit strategy.
• Identify compliance and operational risks that could affect financial performance, brand reputation and shareholder value, and provide actionable mitigation recommendations.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of Investment Banking and Support Functions processes and controls to strengthen governance, risk management and control frameworks.
• Implement key performance indicators and best practices for the audited areas.
• Ensure audits are performed in full compliance with the GIAD Group Audit Manual, Global Internal Audit standards and relevant local regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, preferably within investment banking, treasury, risk or related support functions.
• Strong understanding of audit standards, regulatory requirements and risk‑based auditing methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and provide advisory insights to senior management.
