About the role

The Marine Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems on vessels, ensuring safe and efficient operation. This role works closely with foremen and co‑workers to improve work quality and coordinate daily activities.

Key responsibilities

Communicate internally with foremen and team members to align on work scope and quality standards.
Coordinate execution of mechanical tasks on board or in the shipyard.
Follow established safe systems of work, training instructions, and report any accidents, incidents, or near‑misses.
Exercise authority to stop work when safety concerns arise.

Required profile

Accountable for actions and omissions related to mechanical work.
Committed to adhering to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Willingness to follow training, instructions, and safety protocols.
