Mechanical Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Construction Supervisor will lead on‑site construction and installation activities for large‑scale oil & gas projects in Qatar. Reporting to the project engineering team, you will ensure that all mechanical works are executed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with design, QHSE and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors to deliver mechanical works in line with the approved scope, engineering design and QHSE standards.
• Review and comment on method statements, material submittals, commissioning procedures and as‑built drawings.
• Act as signatory authority for Permit‑to‑Work and ensure all required permits and gate passes are issued.
• Coordinate contractor mobilization, site lay‑down areas and construction schedules.
• Inspect, test and pre‑commission completed works, initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates and manage punch‑list closure.
• Participate in constructability reviews, hand‑over activities and commissioning of facilities.
• Support Qatari national development by facilitating on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical construction and installation on on‑shore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale contracts and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and stakeholder‑management abilities.
