NDT Technician – Rotating Equipment & Turbo Machinery

About the role

We are seeking an experienced NDT Technician/Inspector to support inspection, testing, and quality control activities for the repair and refurbishment of rotating equipment and turbo‑machinery. The role ensures that all components meet applicable standards, client specifications, and quality requirements throughout dismantling, inspection, repair, and final assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Non‑Destructive Testing (VT, PT, MT, UT) on critical components such as turbine rotors, shafts, blades, compressors, pumps, impellers, seals and bearings.
• Detect and evaluate defects including cracks, corrosion, erosion and fatigue damage.
• Assist QC Inspectors with incoming material inspection, in‑process checks, and final inspection prior to dispatch.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances and clearances against drawings and specifications; follow inspection hold points and ITPs.
• Prepare NDT reports, inspection checklists, calibration logs and maintain traceability of components.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, ASTM standards and internal QA/QC procedures.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate NDT equipment; use precision tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers and dial gauges.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, workshop teams and mechanical engineers; support client and third‑party audits.

Required profile

• Diploma/ITI/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• NDT Level II certification (ASNT, PCN or ISO 9712).
• 3–5 years of NDT experience on rotating or turbo‑machinery.
• 3–5 years of QC/inspection experience in mechanical or repair workshops.
