Operations Lead

About the role

The Operations Lead will be the operational backbone of DEEP Qatar, an innovation hub of ESMT Berlin. Based on-site in Doha, you will establish and scale the local entity, manage budgets, and support three flagship programmes: DEEP Academy, DEEP Pioneers and CDL Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day compliance for the Qatar entity, covering accounting, HR, legal, IT and office operations.
• Manage relationships with the company secretary, external legal counsel and banking partners, including account administration and vendor payments.
• Oversee office leases, vendor contracts and supplier relationships, and lead onboarding logistics for new hires.
• Track and reconcile programme budgets, report spend to the Director and assist the Program Manager with project‑level financial management.
• Provide operational support for curriculum refinement, ecosystem events and coordination with the Berlin team on shared services and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of business practices and cultural nuances in Qatar and the wider GCC.
• Proven experience setting up and scaling operations in a new market.
• Ability to navigate local regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
