Oracle Hyperion Technical Specialist (4-Month Contract)

About the role

A four-month contract-based professional services position in Qatar for an Oracle Hyperion Technical Specialist (EPM Administrator and Support Consultant). The specialist administers, supports, enhances and troubleshoots the Oracle Hyperion EPM environment, ensuring stable and available Hyperion applications that support budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting and financial consolidation. The specialist acts as the main technical resource for Hyperion Planning and Essbase, working with business stakeholders, the Budget Department, infrastructure teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Calculation Manager, FDMEE and Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) across Development, UAT and Production, including configuration, deployment, upgrades, patches and performance monitoring.
• Support annual budget preparation: manage Planning Unit Hierarchy, budget forms, templates, workflows and approval processes, and year-end rollover.
• Build business rules, calculation scripts, allocation logic, data validation rules, data entry forms and approval hierarchies.
• Configure data integrations between Hyperion and ERP systems using FDMEE, ODI and EAS, including write-back mappings and reconciliation.
• Develop HFR reports and dashboards with Reporting Studio, and support ad-hoc reporting needs.
• Handle incidents, service requests and root cause analysis, coordinate backups, recovery and disaster recovery, and document architecture, procedures, runbooks and change records.
• Deliver knowledge transfer, training materials and recommendations for platform improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion EPM solutions.
• Proven experience in Hyperion Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, HFR and Calculation Manager.
• Demonstrated experience in government, finance, budgeting or large enterprise environments, including end-to-end annual budgeting cycles.
• Track record managing production Hyperion environments and resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
