Oracle Operations Functional Consultant

About the role

The Oracle Operations Functional Consultant will own the functional design and delivery of Oracle Maintenance, Assets, Service and Facilities processes. This role bridges business needs with Oracle and specialist platforms, ensuring seamless asset, work‑order and GIS workflows across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver functional solutions for Oracle Maintenance, operational assets, facilities, job orders and GIS/Spatial processes.
• Define asset, work‑order, preventive‑maintenance, service‑history and vendor planning processes, including controls and approvals.
• Lead fit‑gap analysis and product‑boundary decisions between Oracle Maintenance/APEX and Primavera Unifier/FAM solutions.
• Specify GIS/Spatial requirements for asset visualization, location search, overlays and spatial analytics.
• Coordinate authoritative master‑data ownership to avoid duplication across facilities, IT asset and operational systems.
• Own module configuration baseline, functional design for approved gaps, and migration requirements for asset/facilities masters.
• Develop domain reports, KPIs, dashboards and define acceptance criteria.
• Lead SIT, E2E and UAT testing, resolve defects and ensure business acceptance.
• Prepare operational training inputs and support release readiness and go‑live activities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with Oracle Maintenance, Assets and Service in facilities‑process environments.
• Strong operational asset‑management knowledge, including lifecycle, hierarchy, maintenance plans and service history.
• Deep experience with work‑order and preventive‑maintenance processes, from request through execution and SLA monitoring.
• Proven ability to design job‑order workflows, vendor participation and approval mechanisms.
• Understanding of facilities‑management processes and when Oracle Maintenance may need APEX or specialist platforms.
• Experience supporting product‑boundary decisions between Oracle Maintenance/APEX and Primavera Unifier/FAM.
• GIS/Spatial functional expertise for asset visualization and location‑driven reporting.
• Integration awareness with retained asset, ITAM, calendar/room and analytics systems.
• Strong reporting/KPI skills for work‑order backlog, SLA/status, preventive maintenance and asset availability.
• Ownership of end‑to‑end testing, UAT and operational training.
