Partnerships Manager – Merchant Partnerships & Loyalty

About the role

Our client, a global payments firm, is seeking a Partnerships Manager to support a leading bank in Qatar. You will drive the expansion of the merchant ecosystem and create commercially impactful cardholder offers for the bank’s Loyalty and Cards function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead prepaid card launch workstreams, including regulatory submissions, BIN setup, scheme onboarding, card profiling, KYC/AML flow design, limit configuration, testing and go‑live readiness.
• Define and commercialise the prepaid card customer value proposition, covering features, pricing, rewards and digital‑wallet integration (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay).
• Monitor portfolio performance (activation, spend, revenue per active card, churn, fraud) and manage the prepaid card P&L, recommending actions to improve profitability.
• Coordinate across technology, operations, risk, finance, marketing and external scheme partners to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Prepare monthly performance dashboards and insight packs for senior stakeholders and support steering committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing merchant partnerships and loyalty programmes in the payments sector.
• Strong understanding of prepaid card product lifecycle, regulatory requirements and commercial negotiation.
• Ability to analyse performance data and drive optimisation initiatives.
