Payroll Manager

About the role

Snoonu is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead and scale its payroll function across multiple countries and business lines, including HQ staff, Snoomart, Grocery, Garage, Accommodation, and a large rider and driver population.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a diversified payroll team, reducing key‑person risk.
• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for all business units and worker categories.
• Implement segregation of duties, approval workflows and control reviews.
• Ensure compliance with labor law, WPS and social security in Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and other markets.
• Manage leave, final settlements and act as escalation point for payroll disputes.
• Partner with Automation & AI Engineering to modernize payroll workflows, including Keka integration and bank file automation.
• Provide oversight of cash salary distribution and COD‑related adjustments.
• Report payroll cost, headcount and compliance metrics to Finance leadership.
• Establish cross‑training and succession plans for payroll continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field.
• 6+ years of payroll experience, with 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GCC payroll and labor law (Qatar, Kuwait, Oman), including WPS and end‑of‑service calculations.
• Proven ability to build, diversify and develop a resilient team.
• Experience implementing payroll controls and segregation of duties.
• Excellent communication skills for handling sensitive payroll queries.
