Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology Physician

About the role

The Physician – Pediatric Cardiology Electrophysiology will lead high‑quality, evidence‑based care for pediatric and adolescent patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Working within Sidra Medicine’s tertiary centre of excellence, the role combines clinical service, education, research and administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis and management of congenital and non‑congenital arrhythmias across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform and interpret advanced electrophysiological investigations, including Holter, event monitoring, ECG analysis, pacemaker/ICD assessments and exercise testing.
• Conduct invasive EP studies and catheter ablation procedures in children and adolescents.
• Develop clinical pathways for supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, inherited syndromes and acquired rhythm disorders.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgery, ICU and anesthesia teams for peri‑procedural care of complex cases.
• Provide expert consultation and support regional referral pathways for complex EP cases.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives, data registries and outcome tracking.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents and allied health professionals.

Required profile

• MD/MBBS with board‑certified residency in pediatrics.
• Pediatric Cardiology fellowship approved by the training country.
• At least 1 year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• 8+ years post‑certification experience in pediatric EP, including catheter ablations and device implantations.
